Augusto Ferreira started King Flooring & More in 2020 as a home-based, mobile operation - no storefront, no showroom overhead to pass along in the price. That's still how we run every job across the Greater Tampa Bay Area: we come measure your home, quote a fixed price on the spot, and the same crew that measured is the one that installs.
We install hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, and tile - the flooring categories that actually make sense for Florida homes - rather than trying to be everything to everyone.
What we install
Every project starts with an in-home measure and a fixed-price quote. No hourly billing, no surprise add-ons mid-job.

Built around slab foundations and Florida humidity
Almost every home in the Greater Tampa Bay Area is built on a concrete slab, not a basement, and that changes how a floor needs to be prepped. Every quote includes moisture testing on the slab, subfloor leveling where needed, and material selection that accounts for our humidity - not a one-size-fits-all install plan copied from a colder climate. If your old floor needs to come out first, our demolition and prep service handles that as part of the same job.
What's included, and our labor warranty
Every quote is all-in: subfloor prep, baseboard removal and reinstall, disposal of your existing floor, and transitions to adjacent rooms. Manufacturer warranties cover the material - typically 15 to lifetime depending on product - and we back our own work with a labor warranty on top. If something we installed fails because of how it was installed, we come back and fix it at no charge. Request a free estimate and we'll come measure in person.
Flooring Installation - frequently asked questions
A typical whole-room LVP or laminate install takes 1 day. Hardwood takes 2-4 days depending on the product. Tile takes 3-5 days for installation plus a day for grout to cure before you can walk on it.
Yes - we move standard furniture as part of the install. We just ask homeowners to handle electronics, fragile items, and anything inside dressers or closets.
We do install customer-supplied material, but the warranty coverage is labor-only in that case. When we supply the material ourselves, you get one combined warranty covering both product and installation.
