Stairs that match your floors and shrug off Florida living
Vinyl is one of the only stair materials that's fully waterproof, scratch-resistant, and quiet underfoot at once, which makes it a natural fit for households with kids, pets, or a staircase near an entryway that tracks in sand, sunscreen, or storm-season rain. During your free in-home estimate, we'll show you samples from our broader vinyl flooring lineup and install luxury vinyl plank stairs using the same plank as the adjoining floor, so the staircase reads as one continuous project.
It's also a practical alternative to hardwood stairs for homeowners who want a durable, low-maintenance staircase without the upkeep of solid wood.

Custom nosings make or break the job
Most vinyl plank manufacturers don't ship a matching stair nosing out of the box, which is why so many DIY vinyl stair jobs end up with a mismatched metal strip on the front edge. We solve it with factory-color nosings when available, and custom-milled nosings cut from the same plank when they aren't.
- 20-30 mil wear layers rated for stair traffic
- Slip-resistant textured surface
- Click-lock or glue-down installation depending on your stringers
- Custom-matched nosings for any LVP we carry

Built to stay put and stay quiet
Vinyl stair jobs usually fail one of two ways - the plank lifts at the nosing, or the tread underneath wasn't secured properly and squeaks through the new surface. We use construction adhesive plus fasteners hidden behind the nosing, and we level every tread before installing, so the finished staircase feels solid and stays quiet.

Vinyl Flooring Stairs - frequently asked questions
Modern LVP is textured with a slip-resistant finish rated for stair use - it performs at least as well as finished hardwood, and it won't get slick from wet feet the way tile can.
In many cases, yes, as long as the treads are sound. If you'd rather keep the hardwood and just refresh it, see hardwood refinishing instead.
Yes - we install the same plank you choose for the adjoining room, so the staircase and floor read as one continuous surface.
Very well - vinyl doesn't react to humidity the way wood can, so there's no risk of the treads swelling or gapping during rainy season.
A standard 13-16 stair staircase typically takes 1 to 2 days.
